Hot games

With Christmas now behind us, we're back to doing our Sunday wrap up of what games are hot on the virtual shelves of various online retail platforms.

Here's what is hot around the world at the moment:

Amazon.com
1. Mario Kart Wii with Wii Wheel - Nintendo
2. Wii Fit - Nintendo
3. Wii Play with Wii Remote - Nintendo
4. My Fitness Coach - Nintendo
5. Call of Duty: World at War - Xbox 360
6. Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga - Nintendo Wii
7. Halo 3 - Xbox 360
8. Active Life Outdoor Challenge - Nintendo Wii
9. New Super Mario Bros. - Nintendo DS
10. Wii 5-In-1 Fitness Bundle - Nintendo

Take 2:
1. Grand Theft Auto IV (PC DVD-ROM)
2. Neverwinter Nights 2: Storm of Zehir (PC DVD-ROM) - *Expansion Pack
3. Prince Of Persia 4 (PC DVD-ROM)
4. Prince Of Persia 4 (PS3)
5. Fallout Collection (PC DVD-ROM)
6. Call Of Duty 5: World at War (PC DVD-ROM)
7. Left 4 Dead (PC DVD-ROM)
8. Resistance 2 (PS3)
9. Galactic Civilizations II: Endless Universe (PC DVD-ROM)
10. Lord of the Rings Online: Mines of Moria Expansion Pack (PC DVD-ROM)

Kalahari.Net
1. Grand Theft Auto IV (GTA 4) - PC
2. Colin Mcrae Dirt - Xbox360
3. CSI - PC
4. Hitman Blood Money - PC
5. Burnout Legends - PSP
6. Call of Duty: World at War Collectors Edition - PC
7. Prince of Persia 4 - Xbox 360
8. Fallout 3 - PS3
9. Cricket 07 Classic - PC (NOT BAD VALUE AT R88)
10. Tomb Raider: Underworld - PS3

I thought it was quite interesting to note that on the international site (Amazon) the Nintendo brand was particularly strong. In comparison the two South African sites (Take 2 and Kalahari) had quite a large emphasis on PC and Xbox brands... wonder what to make of that and the buying habits of SA consumers vs. foreign consumers...??
